As part of our introduction programme, all new IG clients receive our free educational guide to spread betting and the financial markets.
Covering a wide range of subjects, our guide is specially designed to help you improve your understanding of spread betting and learn more about the markets we offer. Some of the topics covered in the guide include:

Start with smaller bets
To help build your confidence as you learn more about spread betting, for the first two weeks of our introduction programme you can place deals at 50% of our normal minimum bet sizes.
How do I sign up for the introduction programme?
All new clients are automatically enrolled in our introduction programme – as soon as you’ve created an account with us, you’ll be able to deal from 50% of our standard bet size.
Your free spread betting guide will be sent to you by email once you’ve opened your account. Alternatively, you can log in to our trading platform and access the guide from the Tools menu whenever you want.
