There are lots of spread betting companies, why should I deal with IG Index?

Does IG Index charge commission?
No. We do not charge commission or any other dealing fees. We make all our profit from our dealing spread. For all our bets the price at which you 'buy' is slightly higher than the price at which you 'sell'.
Are my profits really tax-free?
Yes. IG Index is a licensed bookmaker and there is no capital gains tax to pay on betting profits under current UK law. Please note that tax law can, of course, be changed in the future and may differ if you pay tax in a jurisdiction other than the UK.
What is TradeSense?
TradeSense is an educational programme for new clients, designed to help you become acquainted with spread betting and the financial markets. It's free to join, just check TradeSense on the application form to join the programme.
