How to Use Custom Bets
Custom Bets can be accessed through PureDeal. Before you can place a Custom Bet, you will also need to fund your Custom Bets account, which is created as soon as you access Custom Bets for the first time. You can fund your account by switching funds from your IG Index account.
When you open PureDeal, the Custom Bets link appears beneath the left hand navigation pane, as shown below:
A new browser window will then open, taking you to the Custom Bets menu. This is where you can fund your account and create Custom Bets. You can also use this area to view your History and monitor any open Custom Bets.
Please note, you will be required to view and agree to the Custom Bets Terms & Conditions when you first access Custom Bets. Terms and Conditions for Custom Bets are detailed in our bet details.
Funding your account
The first thing you need to do before you start placing Custom Bets, is to transfer funds from your main IG Index account into your Custom Bets account. Transferring funds is free, instant and easy to do.
To fund your Custom Bets account, click on Funds Transfer at the bottom right of the screen, or on the tab at the top. This will take you to a form which you can use to switch funds between your IG Index and Custom Bets accounts.
You can also transfer funds through PureDeal. To do this, go to the Payments area of My Account and select Transfer Funds. You can then use the form shown to switch funds between your accounts.
Please remember that if you wish to withdraw funds from your Custom Bets account, you will have to transfer them to your IG Index account first.
Placing your first bet
Once you have funded your account you can start placing bets. There are five types of Custom Bet to choose from:
Fast Money bets
Choose this type of bet if you want to make an up-down bet on fast market movements. Fast Money Bets have expiry times from two minute to one hour.
OneTouch bets
Choose a OneTouch if you expect the market to hit a certain level at some point during the current trading day.
NoTouch bets
Pick a level you don’t think the market will touch during the current trading day.
Binary bets
Pick Binaries if you think your chosen market will reach a specific level. These are slightly longer term than Fast Money Bets with expiry times from one hour to five days.
Binary Range bets
Place a Binary Range Bet when you have an idea of the range a market will reach rather than a specific level.
Once you have clicked on the type of bet you want to create, you will be taken to our Custom Bets sliding scale.
Simply use the drop down menus and sliding scales to specify your market, the direction in which you think it will move, your expiry time and your stake.
The box at the bottom of the screen will summarise your bet for you, including the potential payout and maximum possible loss. Once you’re happy with the details, click Bet Now to place your bet.
Monitoring Custom Bets
Please note that Custom Bets do not appear with your other positions in PureDeal and do not count towards the running profit and loss on your IG Index account. To view current Custom Bets and check your funds, you should visit the Open Positions area of the Custom Bets window. To view past bets, use the History tab.
