Our new Price Alerts feature helps you keep track of your chosen instrument all through the trading day, wherever you are.
The system will automatically send you an email or SMS message when the market hits your stated price level on a selected instrument, keeping you informed and in control while you are away from the dealing platform. If you are online with PureDeal, the system notifies you with an optional pop-up message and trigger sound, plus an indication in the Alerts panel.
Organise your trading day
You can set an Alert on any instrument except for binaries and options, giving you the freedom to prepare your trading parameters for the day and track your strategic price levels automatically – without having to constantly monitor the markets.
Price Alerts are not orders and will not open or close a position when triggered. Instead, they tell you instantly when your chosen level is hit, forming an invaluable part of your decision-making armoury.
As the Alerts do not affect your market position, you are able to use them for real-time notification across your portfolio. For example, if you are studying a particular set of stocks which are historically affected by changes in the price of oil, you could set an Alert to inform you when US Crude hits a key level, giving you a trigger point at which to start trading.
Using our Tear-off Ticket option, you can even close down PureDeal entirely and have a standalone Deal Ticket on your desktop, relying on your Alerts to keep you aware of market movements. When your Alerts are triggered you can place a trade and carry out your strategy.
Setting up Alerts
To set up an Alert in PureDeal, simply select Set Price Alert within the drop-down menu in for the relevant market.
Enter your trigger level for the Buy or Sell price in the pop-up window and add a unique message if required. Then click Set Alert.
The Alerts panel on PureDeal keeps a record of all your pending and triggered Alerts, which will stay active until they are either triggered or cancelled.
To change the options for notification of your Alerts simply click Settings on the Alert panel. If you need to update your current email and SMS details, just go to the Personal Details section of My Account to edit the information we have on record for you.
Note: Our Alerts service is provided 'as is', without warranty or guarantee of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall we or any third party contributor be liable for any claim, damages or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort or otherwise, arising from, out of or in connection with the use of our Alerts service. We shall make reasonable endeavours to ensure an acceptable service but you accept that we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the Alerts service, that we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, and that we do not guarantee the delivery of any Alert (whether delivered by SMS, email or otherwise).
